Dear God No! DVD News, Debbie Rochon, and Fangoria #314

 

This weekend I discovered a truly kick ass thing. A quote from my review of the truly awesome Dear God No! is on the ad for the DVD in the current June 2012 issue of Fangoria #314! Other fellow horror bloggers are also quoted. I have to say this made my day. I've had two letter printed in Fango when I was younger, I've had an interview printed in it, and now this! Who knows what's next!

The film follows outlaw motorcycle gang The Impalers through a murder spree that ends in a home invasion gone terribly wrong when they attack two graduate students, a disgraced Anthropologist and his teenage daughter.  A demonic creature in the woods, a deadly secret in the basement, rivers of blood and abundant nudity add to the surprises that are sure to thrill genre fans. I am so happy to see her on it. She deserves all the success she's got. Aside from her good heart and devotion to the genre, she's been through a lot and Lord knows she busts her ass.

Horror Crush: Fairuza Balk

One of my biggest crushes in all of horror has to be the gorgeous Fairuza Balk, as a lover of goth chicks, it is impossible to not be caught in her trance.

The stunning Ms. Balk was born Fairuza Alejandra Feldthouse May 21, 1974 in Point Reyes, California. Her first name is Persian for "Turquoise, Victory, or Precious One", her Persian decent comes from her father who also has Romani and Cherokee heritage.

While. the stunning beauty has been acting as a child, she first caught the eyes and hearts of horror fans in the entertaining The Craft. The movie told the tale of four teen witches, who use have great powers, but eventually things go wrong. Mostly cause of Balk's character, Nancy, who is kind of crazy, to say the least! Nancy was the defacto leader of the group, but as she turns more and more uncontrollable and even kills, the heroine played by the pretty Robin Tunney must stop her.

I have to say that as soon as I saw her on the screen I was in love!!! I mean she looked so sexy as this goth bad girl!! Honest to God, Nancy would never need any magic to have me fall in love with her. Ultimately, her character remains one of the characters I would most like to have sex with in a horror film. Too bad, there were no girls like her in my high school!!

Balk is a real life Wican; she even used to run an occult store in Hollywood. This makes her role in this flick even more interesting.

Sadly, she only did one more horror film the much maligned The Island of Dr. Moreau. Honest to God, I tried watching this crap, but I never can make it very far. And, what have seen I forget quickly, mercifully, I suppose. I do recall she looks gorgeous in it, though.

The only other horror related thing she did was appearing in an episode of Bio's Celebrity Ghost Stories where she tells the admit ably creepy tale of some malevolent force haunting her in a hotel.

Sadly, unlike earlier horror crushes, she was not nude in any of these films. Which, of course, sucks. I also think it sucks that she does not appear in more movies. She's a good actress and is, of course, gorgeous as hell. Regardless, I will always be under her spell.

The 70 Hottest Babes of 2011, pt. 1: 70-61

It's December which means that it is time for this blog and me to pick the 70 most beautiful women in the entertainment world. Every year this gets harder and harder (pun not intended). But, it's something I always have fun with. As always I chose from actresses (both A and B, as well as TV stars), internet personalities, porn stars, models, pop stars, metal hotties, and prowrestlers. I have long prided this list to not be like so many condescending lists of this type that over fill the net and magazines. Many overrated idiots that contaminate those ain't here. Nor should they, in my humble opinion.

I would also like to mention that it is not just looks that determines a girl's rank, but also what they have done this year. The hotter they are and the most they have acomplished the higher they rank. So, just sit back and enjoy, as I get this started already.

70. Kate Mara (new)- We open this list with this drop-dead (pun intended) gorgeous babe who plays the lead actors lover in the awesome American Horror Story. Mara's character gets snuffed and comes back as a nympho ghost! Damn is there a better kind? Unfortunately she kills those she sleeps with, who in turn become ghosts themselves. Hey, you gotta take the bad with the good right?




69. Jessica Gomes (new)- Appearing as last month's Maxim cover girl this exotic half Asian-half Portuguese Sport Illustrated babe gives me hope that there art still gorgeous super-models who don't all look the same or bore me to tears. Gomes was my Hot Asian Girl of the Month for November 2011, and it quickly topped this blog, as it's most read post. Yes, she beat out all of the porn stuff, and ain't even naked in it! That's quite an accomplishment, if you ask me!



68. Ann Marie Rios (new)- This stunning Latina porn goddess has been gaining more and more deserved popularity. Having interviewed her, I can tell you that she is a sweetheart. There is no denying that she is a complete stunner and has one heck of an amazing ass! She's great to follow online, and she's always posting hot pics of herself.



67. Kristin Bauer van Straten (last year 55)- Man, this has not been a good year for Kristin's character, Pam, on True Blood. She decayed and then got her sexy ass dissed by vampire Eric. That has to suck. And, not in the good way. But, hey she is still hot as hell! Well OK, not really when she's rotting, but you get my point.




66. Ashley Greene (last year 56)- Dear God, Ms. Greene is so fucking hot. It's too bad that she is still doing those shitty Twilight movies. Hopefully, she'll do something better soon and that involves tons of nudity!






65. Sasha Sweet (new)- This porn hottie is one of my favorites to follow on Twitter. Her tweets are fun, sexy, and smart. Plus, she's an admitted fan of Lucio Fulci and black metal. That right there is total hotness! She was at the Girls and Corpses table at AEE in Jan., but sadly I missed her. Hope not to next time! One more thing, her rack is pretty amazing!


64. Alexandra Brekinridge (new)- Oh my God! Is this woman hot or what?! Playing the younger version of the ghost maid on American Horror Story, seen only like this by men, this breath-taker has quickly become one of the biggest crushes for horror fans out there, right now. Her slutty and sexy performance is sure raise the dead and other things, too! Bonus points for a being a photographer in real life, as well!

63. Anna Paquin (last year 44)- Thank God Anna still gets naked for us on True Blood. Cause, it just adds to the awesomeness of what remains one of my personal favorite shows currently on TV. This year saw her having to choose between Eric and Bill. Hey, as long as the series remains as good as it was this season and we see her boobs, it really don't matter, that THAT much, too me, who she picks!



62. Blake Lively (new)- Gorgeous with killer legs is the best way to describe this blonde honey. While, she's been able to distract men from the torture caused by their girlfriends forcing them to watch the shit that is Gossip Girl, she managed to appear in the more guy friendly Green Lantern. That movie tanked at the box office, but if she had gotten nude, maybe it would have been a smash hit! Then again nudes of her leaked out on to the net, which one didn't have to pay to see. So maybe, this flick would have tanked regardless!


61. Debbie Rochon (new)- The reigning queen of B-horror is just as beautiful as ever. One of the nicest and most hard working people you will ever meet, it is down right near impossible to not love her. I greatly enjoyed her in the fun and gross Slime City Massacre, and she gave me a cool little interview for this site later on this year. Debbie fucking rules!

Hot Asian Girl of the Month: Eihi Shiina

It's finally October, my favorite month of the year! Why?Well, causee of all the horror, monster, and scary things love that only happens with the coming of Halloween! So, for this special time of year, I wanted to pick a babe that best represents it. And, so I picked the beautiful horror actress Eihi Shiina!

This Japanese beauty was born on February 3, 1976. She is from Fukouka, Japan.

In 1995, she began to model for Benetton. She represented Japan in Elite Model Look 95. She would go on to do more magazine work.

Her first role came in 1988 in the film Open House. I must admit knowing nothing about this movie. I never even heard of it, until doing the research for this post.

It's her third film, though, that gave her fame. She plays the villain in Audition, perhaps' Takashi Miike's most well known movie. It remains one of his best films and one of my favorite movies. Shiina is awesome in it, eliciting both a submissive and frail beauty and then turning into a psychotic and deadly killer. The movie is undeniably a modern classic, and it truthfully would not have worked as well had it not been for the amazing and beautiful Shiina.

Although, she would do other films, Shiina's main fame, at least as far as movie audiences outside of Japan go, would come in the form of horror movies. The awesome and fun Tokyo Gore Police, had her in the lead role. And, she may have looked more beautiful than ever! Plus, the movie allowed her to whoop some ass. Which is always hotter, in my book!

Eihi played the mother (MILF!) of the titular Vampire girl in the silly and over-the-top but very fun and ultra-gory, Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstein Girl. It's a cool little flashback where she appears in, and as a fan I was happy to see her in this.

2010 gave us two movies with her. The first was Yakuza flick Outrage where she played a call girl(!!!). The other is Helldriver where she plays the zombie queen. I ain't seen these, but I hope to change that.

Shiina is a stunning and lovely actress with a beautiful face and porcelain skin. She always gives a great performance in any of her roles. She has done a few horror conventions here and there. I hope she does eventually pay one of the cons here in the eastcoast. It would be an honor to meet his amazing horror beauty.

Horror Crush: Melissa George

Ahh, Melissa Geogre, I been a fan of this babe since my eyes, and my pants, first got captivated by her on Alias. It actually turns out, though, that I have actually been a fan of this Australian babe for far longer, than that, something I only learned from doing research for this post.

The naturally curvy beauty was born in Perth, Western Australia on August 6, 1976. This makes her 35 years old.

She made her acting debut in the excellent cult classic Dark City from Alex (The Crow) Proyas. She played a hooker and got nude. This would actually be the first time that I would be seeing her. She has a really nice rack and a great ass, and I do recall being happy she showed them in the movie. The movie, itself, is an amazing gothic sci-fi movie that is one of my favorites. It's visually captivating and simply breath-taking, not unlike her! Of course, it's a small role, but you won't be forgetting it anytime soon!

Her next role of interest to genre fans is from another favorite movie of mine: Mulholland Drive. A smart, sexy, and dark mystery movie, this is, in my book, David Lynch's best film. It might also be her sexiest role. She even shares a yummy lesbian kiss with the beautiful Laura Harring!

After being on Alias, she moved on to her next project: the remake of The Amityville Horror. While, the other two movies had elements that horror fans could appreciate, this was her first true terror film. It ain't no where near the level of the aforementioned movies, though. But, it ain't that bad, I don't think. Her acting and Ryan Reynolds is good. Besides, she looks fucking hot. I really like her ass in those jeans and her boobs in the tight sweaters that she wears, in it. And, hey when you compare this one to something like Amityville 3D or Amityville: The New Generation it looks like a masterpiece. Of, course that ain't saying much, but...

And, it is certainly light years ahead of Saw wanna-be Turistas, which despite having her (topless) and Olivia Wylde in bikinis and some gore and torture; it's really quite boring. Again, I have seen worse than this, but with better movies out there, why waste your time with this dreck? For George completionists only.30

George finally did an actual quality horror movie in the form of the awesome and ass kicking 30 Days of Night. A fast paced and violent good time, this adaptation of the best selling comic is a welcome change from pussy vampires. George looks beautiful as a snow bunny. Plus, this role allows her to kick some ass.

I am sad to say that I have yet to see her next horror film, Triangle, which I have heard nothing but good things about. Especially when you take into account just how much I enjoyed director Christopher Smith's Severance.

Melissa George is simply stunning, so much so that she does help to distract you from some the lesser stuff she has been in. She has beautiful, big blue eyes and luscious, kissable lips. As, I said before I really love her tits and her butt. No less an expert, than Dani Filth from Cradle of Filth, called her one of his fav horror babes. Here's hoping she does more genre work and hopefully with as little clothing as possible.
