Toy Fair 2013- Spotlight on Funko Pop!

If there was one booth with one line of toys that had me hitting my biggest geekgasms, it's without a shadow of doubt the Pop! toys at Funko. I gave that line my award for toy line of the year in my first annual awards and with good reason. They very, very well repeat next time!!!!!

Perhaps the series I'm most excited for is the Master of the Universe line. Hordak (the character on the left), my all time fav MOTU character, is alone, a must own!!!

I actually already own Finn from the Adventure Time line. Interesting fact: I bought him at Hot Topic, and he came with a sword in hand. Unlike the weaponless version shown above.
Anyway, all the Adventure Time is out right now! And, they are fucking awesome!

The two above are from the upcoming Iron Man 3 series.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? This series is forthcoming.

For you Power Rangers fans out there, I present to you the above toys!
Also coming soon, are everyone's favorite moronic, metalhead duo, Beavis and Butt-head!

The Hello Kitty/ Sanrio line is already out available!

While, I am not a Disney fan, I do LOVE Wall-E! So, I do want the two robots that are coming soon from that movie.

The Walking Dead line continues, with more upcoming figures, including the above Glenn and Michonne (below). As to whether their will be bloody variants like there was with Daryl Dixon (which I already own) and Rick is up in the air.

The Game of Thrones line continues with more characters being made look cute. These guys should be out by April, in time for the new season which starts at the end of this month.

Horror, gore, and comic book fans should rejoice with the above upcoming toys of Hannibal Lector, the Alien, Robocop, and Rorschach.

NYCC 2012 Day 1, Pt. 1- Toys, Statues, and More!

All photos are courtesy of Negative Pop and myself.

From October 11-14, 2012 New York Comic Con made its highly anticipated yearly return to the Big Apple at the Jacob Javits Center. I was there all four days covering the event. I got lots of pics and cool stuff to put up and will be doing so over the next few days and weeks. I already put up an interview with Vampy Bit Me. But, this is the first of many single day coverage. I'm gonna focus on toys and statues on this one with some random fun thrown in for good measure.

Video games were the call of the four day event, and with people playing a dance game throughout the whole time. But, this ass was the most memorable one to be shaking.

Let's begin my toy coverage with some awesome Legos!
Meanwhile, in the Hall of Justice!

 This just ruled! =D

And, now some of my other favorite toys and statutes, that I saw that day.

There were so many AWESOME Godzilla toys!! Like this Destroyah!

If you love me you will get me this Supergirl statue! :P
I love Death and hot goth chicks, in general. :)

Fucking AWESOME!! Best Statue of the entire week!!!

Uh, WTF happened to Conan here? LOL!
NYCC exclsuive from Mattel of Teela as the Soreceress
NYCC exclusive from DC of this wacky Batman.
Look at how long Mekaneck's.... neck is!
He sucks... blood!! Mosquitor from the Evil Horde!
The only exclusive I bought that week was the Harrison's blood-spattered Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead.

Unlike last year, where we couldn't even find him, we got a pic and met Chris Hardwick the very first day! We told him about last year, and he was like, "first day this year!" He's freakin' awesome!!!

I also had my spotlight on the red carpet! But, in all seriousness, I got some really cool and sexy stuff coming up from NYCC! So be sure to stay tuned!

NYCC 2011: Day 1

Make no bones about it, New York Comic Con (NYCC) is THE biggest convention on the Eastcoast. And, after years of not going, I, the Master, returned with a vengeance. Extended to four days, instead of the regular three and with a ton of guests, panels, and exclusive toys, this promised to be THE biggest one yet.

The very first day was on Oct. 13, 2011, a Thursday. This day was open only to pros, press, and those who bought a four day ticket. So, it was nice an quiet and a great day to walk around the Jacob Javits Center (where the con is held). It started at 4PM, and I, along with my friend Alan, got there about that time.

First and foremost, as soon as you walk you in are reminded just how big this convention is. There are so many rooms and three floors that are used, so it is very easy to get lost. We certainly did. We even lost certain tables. It's insanity!

The first booth I visited was Hasbro. They had an amazing display of some of their Marvel comics figures. It was really an amazing looking set-up.
Here a quikee vid I shot of it.

I also took the chance to pick up the exclusive Compound Hulk figure. He appeared in issue #30, when they were both joined as one. I admit I ain't read a Hulk comic in ages, but even if this whole thing is silly I loved the figure. I had to own it, moreso at a mere 11 bucks. Here it is with some other figures (including an exclusive Deadpool Mini-Mates) I got over the course of the next fews days.

I also had the chance to become an official Avengers action figure! Well, OK not really, but I think this pic, taken by Alan, aka NegativePop, is pretty cool. What do you think my assecories would be, if I was a real action figure?

Also, at Hasbro was a cutie who worked for them cosplaying as Jem. For those who may not know Jem was a cartoon based on a girl's doll about a pop singer named Jem and her band the Holograms. I admit to watching that show. You know you did, too! Don't deny it!

Next up was a visit to Mattel, where I there were awesome displays for WWE, DC, and Master of the Universe action figures.
Evil-Lyn has long been one of my fav MOTU characters.

Shadow Weaver finally gets a figure!!!

The Alberto Del Rio figure kicks ass! Gotta love the chihuahua!

There are beauties all over the show. Some of them are working at booths, like this stunning lady. She worked at the Vixens of Virtue, Vixens of Vice booth. She didn't reveal on which side her character will be, but one cool thing she told me is that she is a fellow writer. I actually got a bunch of pics of her, so look for future installments, of this series of posts, for more of her!

I did a little wondering here and there and saw more cool things. Due to the relaxed feeling this was easily my second favorite day of the whole event. But the REAL craziness was yet, to come...
