The 70 Hottest Babes of 2012, pt. 1: 70-61

As is the tradition of this blog of mine, the start of Dec. means that I can begin my long running yearly tradition of ranking the year's hottest babes. As always, I start working on this list pretty much from the beginning of the year and work on it till the end of Nov. It's never easy to compile, but it's always fun. And, such was the case this time around.

As always, I rank actresses (both A and B and TV stars), musicians, models, internet celebs, porn stars, and even filmmakers. And, I still don't care to rank overrated, overexposed, talentless, and/ or annoying celebs that contaminate most of the other babe lists out there. And, like always the more a girl did or accomplieshed in the year combined with her hotness determines just how high shes gets to rank. So let's not waste any more time and get right to it!

70. Jamie King (new)- Beautiful model turned actress, Jamie King, has been pretty busy this year, from doing stuff that I don't care for (Heart of Dixie and an Adelle video) to being in the fun slasher re-imagining flick Silent Night where she played a cop and looked pretty damn good doing so. Ms. King, you can slap the handcuffs any day of the year!






69. Liv (new)- This gorgeous dark-haired, tatted front-woman from kick ass hard rock/ metal band Sister Sin, debuts on my list after three hard rocking, badass albums, including the band's best, yet, Now and Forever, released just a few months ago. I'm actually gonna be seeing them and the gorgeous metal legend herself, Doro, next year in Feb. Should be fucking awesome!!

68. Alexia and Anissa Rodriguez (new)- They're beautiful, Latin, talented and play kick ass metal music by way of their metalcore act, Eyes Set to Kill. White Lotus, released last year, has been playing almost non-stop on my I-tunes/ I-pod from the minute I got it. They are the only sisters that made Revolver's Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock, and the only of two other sisters on my list, this year.

67. Anna Paquin (last yr 63)- Admit ably True Blood was very uneven this season, but once it got centered on the more interesting storylines (IE NOT the fuckin' smoke demon), it kicked ass, all the way to the killer ending. Through out this Paquin looked delicious, got naked, and pulled in some solid acting.

66. Lexi Belle (new)- Lexi seems to get cast in just about every porn parody out there from Xena to Buffy. And, while this is certainly enough to warrant the attention she gets in the biz, it's the fact that she finally did anal, this year in Lexi, that truly took her to the next level. That and the fact that she remains cute as fucking hell is more than enough reason for her to finally hit this list.

65. Willa Holland (new)- Speaking of cute, there aren't many on TV cuter than Ms. Holland. She plays Ollie Queen's, the Arrow himself, little sister on the CW's shockingly good, badass, and entertaining superhero/ vigilante series Arrow. She's a bad little girl into drinking, parting, and boys. Sounds like she needs a spanking! Just don't let Arrow find out. He's liable to put an arrow through your fucking head.


64. Melinda Clarke (last yr. 60)- I'm glad her character, Amanda, didn't get caught or offed at the end of last season on Nikita, cause it means she became the top villain this season. That's fine by me, cause she makes evil sexy. I, by the way, wouldn't mind getting held by captive by her. So long as she don't torture me or anything of the sort.




63. Skin Diamond (new)- Stunning, gorgeous, sexy, exotic, and tatted up this hottie is a continuously rising star in the skin biz (pun not intended). With her smoldering performances in films like the excellent Dani, there is no doubt in my mind that her star will continue to rise, as will what's in the pants of her fans.


62. Yvonne Strahovski (new)- I have to be honest with you, when I first saw this blonde, via Chuck promotional materials and interviews, she did nothing for me. Maybe it's that I'm not hugely into blondes, or that I didn't give a flying fuck about the show. But, ever since she's been on this phenomenal season of Dexter, as a serial killer, no less, I been in love. Perhaps it speaks volumes about me, but who cares. She's pulling off a great performance, and been looking hot as the pits of fucking hell doing so. That she got topless, well, that dear readers is an added bonus!!

61. Charlize Theron (new)- I've been referring to this goddess as one of the most beautiful women in mainstream cinema ever since I was in college, and I still stand by that. Sadly, her days of getting naked seem to be gone (allow me to cry for a few minutes... OK I'm back!), but she's still an absolute stunner and a greatly talented one at that. She appeared in two genre movies this year, Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus, so we fans of dark cinema are certainly happy about that!

Mother's Day (2010)

A couple throw a get together and invite some friends over. Good times are had until three brothers, one of them mortally wounded, enter the house. They are extremely dangerous criminals, and this was there house, until a mere two months ago. They hold the people in the house hostage, as they have one of a hostages, a doctor, help their brother before he bleeds out. Meanwhile, they await their psychotic mother (Rebecca De Mornay) who is accompanied by her beautiful daughter (True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll) arrive. When, she gets there, they demand that the money they been sending her to that house be returned to them. And, if they don't get what they want the body count will start to rise...



Right off the bat, I should start by saying that this film is very different from Charles' Kaufman's original movie of the same name. Aside, from keeping the idea of a whacked out mom and her kids, it's a completely different movie. This is a home invasion horror/ crime-thriller, unlike the rape-revenge 80s favorite (which I think is one of the best movies Troma has ever released). Fans of that film will love the in-jokes and allusions to it, including one awesome death scene.



What this movie also is one of the year's best horror films, and I hope it gets an official release soon, cause it is one hell of a ride. The movie is dark and intense and marks Bousman's best movie yet, far surpassing his work even on quality movies like Repo: The Genetic Opera or the Saw sequels, including the second one, which is actually my favorite in the series. He builds up suspense and nail-biting intensity and always keeps you on the edge of your seat. The editing is tight and furthers the feeling of the movie that will have your nerves completely spent by the time it is over.



There is are two predominate themes that run in this film: one is family. Both Jamie King, who plays the wife of the lead couple and whose character recently lost a child, and De Mornay care and love their family. This adds a level of depth to De Mornay's character that makes her that much more interesting and, in the end, perhaps THE finest female villain in the history of the horror film. Another, one, I find is one bought up by one of De Mornay's sons, who pretty much says that all humans are capable of killing in the right circumstance. This becomes increasingly evident as the movie moves along.



For this to work the acting must be excellent, and it most certainly is. De Mornay gives the performance of her career. You really want this bitch to die! And, that is all a credit to her. King is also quite good and makes for a strong heroine, you can cheer on. King looks great of course, as does the rest of the exceptionally beautiful, female cast. As, a huge fan of Ms. Woll, I was happy to see her in this film, where she plays the most sympathetic of De Mornay's family. The rest of the cast is excellent as well, with everyone giving it their all.



The movie is not the goriest you will ever see, but it always feels tense and the strong violence that there is, is made that much more racketed up. The torture scenes are nasty stuff, that will have you wincing. And, the kill I mentioned some paragraphs back ranks as one of the year's very best.



The only flaw in the movie is the ending which while not bad, and does make sense, feels a little forced and somewhat out of place. Regardless, of that I give Mother's Day my fullest support and my highest possible recommendation. Don't let your preconceived concepts of remakes stop you from seeing this. Afterall, just last year after leaving a comic book convention I was discussing my doubts about this one with a friend. Fuck those doubts and see this one as soon, as it gets released.

Random Hotness V: A New Hotness

What two Random Hotness in one month?! Must be your lucky month!

Olivia Munn- Olivia LOVES pie, and we love her. So, she has been asking fans to sign her petition for National Pie Week.



The response has been, no shocker here, huge so she has been upping the ante. Tonight, we will see her (in a sexy French maid outfit!) and Attack of the Show Co-host, Kevin Pereira, jump in a giant pie! Don't care about Kevin, but Olivia in pie is yummy! I proudly signed it and hope you did, too.
She also mentioned that her website, http://www.oliviamunn.com will be launching on Feb. 3rd! More reason for us Olivia fans to celebrate!



Jamie King- The Lovely Ms. King has long been a chick I like. In recent Maxim and Attack of the Show interviews she has revealed herself to be a geek! She is big into comic books. All geeks should look this good:
I recently saw her in the very fun My Bloody Valentine 3D. It's a awesomely enjoyable slasher that really kicks ass in 3D. In fact you NEED to see it in 3D, otherwise, I don't know if you will enjoy it as much. Regardless, she looks awesome, even more so with the darker hair, that she has in the film.

Doris Yeh- - Have you seen her pic and foldout in the new issue of Revolver, with Chuck Liddell and and Atreyu on the cover? If not get your lazy fucking ass out of that chair and go to a newsstand! She looks amazing! I hung the foldout on my wall (no it is NOT the pic that is posted on this blog, it is even hotter!), and I now think that it might melt my wall from the utter hotness! Oh yeah, the black metal band, Chthonic, that she is in kick ass, go check them out, too.

Lisa Ann- - Besides being beautiful Lisa Ann gets a lot of props for continuing to draw a lot of, well deserved, press. She played Sara Palin in Hustler's Who's Nailin' Paylin and while I have yet to see that film, I think she is infinitely hotter than the real Ms. Pailin. Who, thank God is no longer on TV, but my friend Alan sent me a link where they are selling a calender of hers! Why?! Anyways, I think the real Sara is doable, but that is about it. Lisa is stunning and very sexy. I loved seeing her on G4's coverage of the Adult Entertainment Expo. I hope to go next year, but for now, I really hope she does Exxxotica NY in September. Regardless, a sequel is coming where she gets porked by a dude playing President Obama! God bless Larry Flynt and Hustler, they fucking rule!
