The Master Does Las Vegas (Again) June 2011, Pt. 2

We began our Sunday by having the AMAZING buffet at the Bellagio. There was a small wait but it was worth it!! Delicious and great deal!!!

Next, we decided to leave the strip for a little while and go check out Fremont. This was actually our first time that we've ever been outside of the strip. Freemont is located in downtown Las Vegas. It's a beautiful site and preserves some of the older aspects of Sin City. For example, you'll find the world famous cowboy sign there.

There are lots of stands selling stuff. I tried on a hat and think, that maybe I should seriously start rocking this look! What do you think?

Of course, this being Vegas, your gonna need a bit of sin. And, well, we found some in the form of this strip club. I didn't go in, in part cause I already had plans to hit one that night. But, nonetheless, it certainly caught my curiosity.

There some awesome things happening over my head, as well. For example, there was a large replica of the moon with Elliot and ET. But, my favorite were the hanging arcade games! I, as a child, owned small, working replicas of the Pac-Man on display. Finally, there was the famous zip lines. Though at one point, they got stuck confirming my belief that I need not do that!

The buses in Fremont look like something out of some futuristic sci-fi movie. Pretty cool!

It was soon time to head aback to our hotel. We hit the bar that's by the check in place, again. I really like it, there as it is a good place to relax and re-energize. Plus, it's also a nice place to scope out pretty girls, including one of the gorgeous girls, who worked there. Then we got some very delicious burgers at BLT Burger. They really hit the spot and prices are good.

Finally, it was time for some of us to hit Little Darlings. I couldn't take any pics, but I can tell you that I had THE best time, ever! This has to be THE single greatest strip club, I ever been to. And, it proves, without a shadow of a doubt, that Vegas strip joints kill the NYC clubs. Sorry, but it's a fucking fact. The women were gorgeous and had a great variety. I got a lapdance from a stunning half Thai, half Caucasian beauty. It was THE greatest lapdance, EVER! I blew a damn good amount of cash, but it was worth it. She, and the club, pretty much made this vacation, fuck that, this year, so far, for me. I told her that and she high-fived me. I been through some not so great shit, as of late, and I needed this. This, dear friends and readers, is my favorite memory from Vegas. And, considering all the great and wonderful memories, I have there, that is saying A LOT!!! I fucking LOVE LAS VEGAS!!!

But, it ain't over yet, kiddies...

TO BE CONCLUDED...

My B-Day at Duffs

This past Saturday (June 5, 2010) I celebrated my 34th b-day at my absolute fav bar in the whole fucking world: Duff's Brooklyn. My actual birthday is on May 29th. I did get together with some close friends on that day, in Long Island. But, this was the big bash.

Anyways, I got to hang, drink, and shoot the shit with friends. As always, Duff's is THE happiest place on Earth. By the end of the night, I was really trashed and happy! If you wanna see more pics of me partying and hanging with my friends, you'll have to go to my facebook.

Jimmy Duff (Duff's owner) is the man! Truly no bar on Earth can touch his. None. End of fucking story. There ain't no better place that I could have spent my b-day. And, there ain't no better place to spend a night there, period.

It should be noted, for God Forbid fans, that Doc Coyle of said band (lead guitars and clean vocals) was bartending that night (in fact that was his forth night doing so).

Thrash metal band Horrifier was suppose to have played that night, but due to a car accident to their lead guitarist/vocalist Joe Potash, they had to cancel. He is recovering, though, and the band will be rescheduling the show. Their debut album Grim Fate is out now, and you can order it here: http://www.thebasar.org/order.html.

Anyways, I wanna thank all those who came out, whom I hung with, as well as, of course, Jimmy Duff, and Duff's. Brooklyn I had an awesome fucking time. Duff's motherfucking rulz. If you love metal and ain't gotten your ass out there yet, what the fuck are you waiting for? And, for those of you who have, well you already know how fucking awesome a place it is! All hail Duff's!

The New Duffs Is better than ever!

NOTE: Many of the pics are courtesy of my good friend Alan.

As I have said in the past, Duffs is my fav bar, ever. I missed the opening, but my friend, Alan, hit the new Duffs on Friday. The new locale is now at 168 Marcy Avenue, (Btwn. S 5th & Broadway), Williamsburg.

Anyways, The new place is bigger and better looking!
I was absolutely floored with how good it looks. Now, some have called the old Duffs a hole in the wall, but was, and always be, special to me. The new place is huge and NOT a hole in the wall, by any stretch of the word. There is ample room to move around and even seating in the back. The seating by beautiful, long, white bar is great.

As always there is memorabilia, both new and old, through out the bar.

This guitar is from Nergal of blackened-death metal masters Behemoth:

The jukebox is still the best in the world. I pretty much flipped out when I saw the amazing "Carcass- Heartwork" album was added to the box! That album is one of the first, and best, melodic-death metal albums, ever. Goddamn does this place rule!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course you here to drink, and while there is no tap beer, the selection is still sweet as hell:

The bartenders are back, of course. So, Tracy and Laurie-Ann are there, and I will be damned if there are better and cooler bartenders on any place in this world!

The old place is still owned by Jimmy Duff but is now called the Bunker. They have new bartenders and has become more of a rock n' roll place as opposed to a metal joint.

So, I don't know how to say this, but get your fucking ass to the new Duffs if you ain't been there, yet. And, if you have then you know what I am talking about. And, you need to go back, like right fucking now. Or, when get out of work. Cause this place fucking rulz all!!!!!!!!!!!

LONG LIVE DUFFS! FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

My 5 Favorite Bars

this is my list my 5 fav bars in NYC, and why they are my fav bars. I have been to many a bar (in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and even some in Jersey), but these stand head and drunken shoulders above the rest. Drink up and enjoy!

5. Antarctica Bar- 287 Hudson Street (at Spring), New York, NY 10013
The main reason I like this bar is cause they have name night. IE, the name on the bar gets free drinks for a few hrs in the night. Sadly, they did not hook me this yr, so their stock has dropped in my eyes, but they have a decent jukebox made better by down loadable songs by bands like Slayer, Lacuna Coil, avenged Sevenfold, and Evanescence.

4. The Boulevard Tavern- 579 Meeker Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11222 nr. N. Henry St. 718-389-3252
My friends have DJed here and I (used to?) hang out around here, so this place has a special place on the list. Plus, they have metal nights every so often where the DJ has spinned stuff by Six Feet Under, Deicide, iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc. The hamburgers and BBQ are a special highlight!

3. Desmond's Tavern-433 Park Ave SNew York, NY 10016-8002Phone: (212) 684-9472
I really like this joint. After work, this place just hits the spot. the buffalo wings are great, as are the mozzarella strips. extra bonus: the little Irish, blond waitress is a cutie and after only two visits memorized my drink (in this bar it is Stella, by the way). Very relaxing atmosphere.

2. Red Bar & Lounge- 51 W. 35th St.(5th & 6th Aves.) Koreatown 212.244.4090
This where the list gets AWESOME!!!!!!!! I just hit this one last night and I LOVED it!!!!!! It is expensive and classy, but it was GREAT!!!! It was my b-day so i the WHOLE bar got hooked up with shots!! Oh, and bartenders are GORGEOUS!!!! A truly awesome bar, i will return!!!!! Extra points: they remembered our name as we left!!!! I LOVE this place!!!!!!!! GO TO THIS BAR, NOW!!!!!!!!!!

1. Duff's Bar- 28 N 3rd StBrooklyn, NY 11211Phone: (718) 302-0411
This is it. the holy grail of bars. No bar can touch it. All hail the metal mecca, not just of NY, but of the world. Bartenders Tracy and LA are THE greatest bartenders anywhere. Colin is cool, too. Owner Jimmy Duff is the man. The bar looks awesome! No hipsters! the GREATEST jukebox: Judas Priest, (old) Metallica, megadeth, Slayer, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Nile, Lamb of God, Behemoth, Venom, Shadows Fall, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Kiss, Sepultura, Heaven and Hell, etc. You never who will show up: Kerry King, Mistress Juilya, Peter Steele. Everyone is friendly that goes there. The drinks have great prices. THE FUCKING GREATEST BAR EVER!!!!!!! ALL HAIL!!!! HAIL!!!!!! HAIL!!!!!!
